Some nations don't announce decorations for SF. That Bong who was off duty and just being a tourist who grabbed a rifle from a Kenyan soldier and went into the mall and killed all the terrorists and saved the hostages got given an award but it was in secret because he was SAS (and SAS isn't even the 'elite' of the UK any more, E Squadron is, a thing that shouldn't be public knowledge but the retards let it leak).

Finally, special forces aren't like video game units where they have better stats and equipment. They're not used as frontline soldiers, they're used for specific missions. It's only people like Russia that send their 'elite' into combat in trenches (SpetsNaz etc). I don't think any of the gorillion special forces the USA has puts any in direct on the line combat. You think they would have a unit designed for front line combat that is basically a much better trained and higher level than basic infantry units

To get awards/medals you don't have to be the most elite killer, you just have to display some courage and selflessness for the sake of your fellow comrades. That's why decorated soldiers come in all sizes despite not being tier 1 operators.
