Whys the military looking into handguns when small arms have been irrelevant for a good 20yrs and drones have made even big guns irrelevant?

You're right, we should take the old clapped out handguns off every MP and truck driver and issue them all FPV drones with RPGs tied to them, because drones are definitely a reasonable last ditch personal defense weapon.
