If the Russians are already using horses and donkeys why not use a chariot with shotguns to target drones instead of archers?

Because you need to actually train horses and charioteers to make them do anything. You can't just slap a forty year old alcoholic behind a couple of random animals strapped to a shopping cart and expect anything but hilarity and misfortune to ensue.

I mean, they've pretty much already resorted to strapping random animals who also happen to be 40 year old alcoholics to gokarts and hoping something happens. Maybe that they take out a mine before dying? Either way, I think the chariot idea would be huge for Russia. Adding a horse would easily quadruple the intelligence in a Russian fireteam, improving combat effectiveness dramatically.
