>>64211908 (OP) >China demonstrating that they've finally developed the technology to copy the Global Hawk (but not really, which is why they aren't flying) >US demonstrating that it's not actually impossible for a first world country to build shitty temu drones
>>64211908 (OP) >Develop technology >Old brass refuse to let "pilots die" never figure out what to use it for >Years pass and old brass retire >Other countries catch up >Oh shit wtf were we doing
Pretty this is pretty much the state if US MIC with every project that the US had some prototype in the 00's. We either didn't know what the fuck were doing, didn't know what the fuck we want, or didn't know how the future wars were going to be fought cause we had GWOT up in our face. Same shit with the new Army rifle trying to fight the previous war. It's dogshit.

The difference is you can just open a binder and resume a program that has undergone a full spectrum of tests and fit it to a now known mission set as opposed to scrambling and throwing R&D money at a brand new thing.
>>64211971
Actually you can't because engineers get fired and move on, contractors go out of business, and the technology itself becomes outdated.
You need to strike while the iron is hot.

Because America isn't in the game of 300 meter engagement anymore, they're more a 1500 meter engagement with their M7s. That's about the same range of a 50lb man portable drone disruptor.

Cope, this isn't some NASA scatterbrain program. Boeing restarted harpoon production in the 2020s using designs from the 70s, LM and NG did the same for Hellfires and AMRAAMS, so we're block 72 F-16s.
>>64212014 >he doesn't know about drone internals getting fried >he forgot that air superiority would render all drone capability useless >he thinks a drone can hit an ac130
>>64211908 (OP)
There's too much overlap with civilian drones for grenade-droppers and small FPV drones to be sufficiently patentable and profitable.
Unless a contractor can deliver a gold-plated premium exclusive, it's not's worth it.

changs army currently stands at
killing chinese to establish maoism
killing chinese for cultural revolution
killing sparrows to kill chinese
losing to vietnamese communists
being cucked by smaller taiwan (real china)
and losing to niggers in africa while serving the great satan of UN

a LOT of people are just making fun of this nerfed American parade nobody really wanted. I guarantee you Chinas parade cost like 10 billion minimum. If we spent 10B on just showing off tanks we would have had literal riots.
>>64212357
This, we haven't had a parade since the turn of the century. Last proper one was after the Gulf War. No one need parades when half the voter base wants distance the military from the American people as much as possible.
>>64211958 >Didn't the Houthis shoot down 20+ of them during Operation Prosperity Guardian?
Most estimates put them at ~14-17, only the Houthis themselves say 20+.
