It's a bad movie, as a film. Hear me out. It just skips from one place to another, making every character you're introduced to quickly irrelevant. Let me finish.
It's entertaining, yes, and has great scenes and high production value, and certainly covers the key points of the larger battle(s), where individuals aren't so meaningful. However, one shouldn't approach it conventionally, expecting a plot or coherence, but rather treat it like a compilation of combat scenes. In a sense, more like a documentary.
