From a logical perspective I can understand that someone who spent their entire life in a city or a particularly dry area never learned to swim.
But as an islander, the entire concept still seems bizarre and wrong at a deep instinctive level.
It's like hearing a grown man say they can't walk simply because they never got around to learning how.

Still, as long as you don't shut off your brain and enter a state of blind panic, you can easily teach yourself to swim.
Just keep a cool head and practice in a pool with areas that are shallow enough that you can stand on the bottom.
Literal animals can just do this shit instinctively (except shitbulls that just sink and drown, it's not that hard.
Having a high percentage of body fat helps. Bing swole and ripped as hell makes it exponentially more difficult.
