instead of camo of blotches, just use plaids.

have set balance of colors of more or less camo hues, but different units or ranks would have diff plaid design.

apparently its a whole "language" with nearly infinite amount of data can be included.

like arranging flowers, no real "bad" way to make plaid.

I'm pretty sure you can even represent letters, at least enough for short name.

For what purpose? Imagine the cost and logistical burden of having to supply a different type of uniform for every unit or rank.

there's a reason why no one is doing what you're suggesting, you haven't made some kind of ground-breaking discovery in the field of camouflage

point is plaid is just as good as any camo pattern when made into clothes.

pro-tip: if you compare a mono color like Olive Drab against pattern camo the fancy pattern does better, but 95% of that goes away as soon as mono-color is applied to a tank or uniform and shadows appear.

Even odder, a camo pattern will tend to "blob" into a recognizable object, more so than a mono-color, when both are applied to real objects.

My studies show a plaid will blob less than a camo pattern, due to having some structure which then gets disrupted by the odd shape of WTF its applied to.

So, yeah, I've discovered something that can beat the miracle CP camo everyone is using.

the Celts had this coded plaid. I think it was called tartans and each clan had a different tartan plaid color.

>just as good
Argument is invalid the second you have to justify why something not in wide circulation is “just as good” as its counterparts in wide circulation

Plaid doesn't have to be flannel, go to any farm/ranch store or boot barn and they're full of lightweight cotton or synthetic plaid shirts.

Which is why generations of Fudds wear red plaid.
Deer cant see red so it works for safety with hunters but camo for deer.
Same as orange tigers being green tigerstripe.

DailyStormer.in once posted a pic of a Blackbird (bird not jet) of how humans see it VS how fellow BB sees it.

Its got more wild colors than a parrot!

Had me wondering if there aren't Intelligent Life on Earth, just that we can't see them.

WTF are these "glass fish" even possible?

thx, I like the way the dark center mass is outlined against the light out area.

Should be good to ID shape of "USGI" in any viewing situation and from all angles.

If I was running shit, I'd mix up the 4 1/4 panels of pants of 4 diff camos like a clown outfit. Also random molle bags etc.
