Impact of US intelligence on Ukrainian oil strikes
About a month ago, the USA started providing Ukraine with comprehensive intelligence information to assist with strikes on energy infrastructure in russia. Since then it seems that there have been a number of highly effective attacks: this one, for example, forced the complete closure of a plant responsible for over 5% of russia's entire oil refining capacity.
What sort of intelligence would the USA be able to provide that enables these strikes? Like, given the drone and missile equipment being used to conduct them, what specific information makes one strike more effective than another? Maps of air defense coverage and gaps? Intel about under-protected facilities? But I'm not sure how even that would make a missile strike more effective?
