Can someone explain to me why people dick ride suppressors so hard? I finally got to try some last weekend and the extra fouling and gas made for a far less pleasant experience vs shooting unsuppressed. I was looking to get a few before the end of the year but now im not so sure after i got to try a few. Only guns that it was kinda cool on were the 10/22, ruger mk, and the mp5 clone. I actually did like the huxwrx can, probably the only exception to the ones i got to try aside from the rimfire and pcc’s. The issue i have with those though is that the durability seems to be shit. I dont want to buy a can that will only last me 3 years (last 2 years i avg’d almost 7k rounds of 5.56/.223 per year). Thing has a like 2" recoil stroke length and very light reciprocating mass so it ends up being over sprung. As such when you throw a can on it it has to be gassed heavily to cycle gun.
This is also compounded by the dogshit sig cans.
