I noticed that the more pale you are or really melanated it hides some blemishes or greasy looking skin. Imagine setting the skin colour to higher shade that the colour contrast hides or makes you look pristine. Idk seeing really pale white or dark Africans I could barely see any blemishes from them. depends on culture.
whichever ones makes it look like you work less. so in asian cultures, pale because it means you don't have to work outside in the fields. in western cultures like america? tan because it meana you have time to lay around sun bathing instead of working.
