Kamala and the DNC failed us by being entirely unprincipled (again) and running almost exclusively on not being Trump. They let the national discourse shift by not presenting a counter narrative, and they let Trump win and our country become fascist because they would have rather that than stand for the things that would have achieved them victory. They didn’t advocate for social economic reforms because they’re bought by Wall St, they didn’t advocate for Palestine because they’re bought by Israel, but they didn’t advocate for us because they’re merely weak regarding what’s left after the former two.

i don't think that's true. trump won the primary because of his hardline immigration stance, and won the general because hillary is an intensely disliked person, partly due to her personality and partly due to misogyny.

The thing is, people generally don't give a fuck WHY people commit crimes and how to both prevent it and if they go to jail then actually make sure they won't commit any crimes after leaving.
But society believes in some retarded crime and punishment rhetoric so people who commit crimes = evil monsters who deserve to suffer.
Similar shit applies to every other problem like lgbt, climate, veganisn etc. You can't force changes, even if it's morally good, if society as a whole don't understand/believe it is.
