just grow it out and care about doing your hair before you go out. Get satin hair stuff for sleeping like pillow cases or a head scarf. If your hair isn't at least chin length just wait till that happens before really complaining, black hair takes the longest to grow though so it will take a while! I mostly bring out my hair to the sides and give myself a sort of dense bang. You must use conditioner and water to straighten your hair though! It's kinda too much of a chore to fight frizz without product in your hair. Try to avoid silicons if you can help it, look into curly hair girl method stuff so you can poach the product they use to strip sulfates and silicons and see if that works better for your hair, a lot of it is just experimentation and seeing what works! If it's windy consider putting in some oil as finish after so it'll hold longer. I practically have to drown my hair in water before it'll absorb anything but maybe you don't!
What have you been doing with your hair anywya? Is there a specific style you wanna go for that you're having trouble achieving? It's hard to advise without the specific hurdles you're facing
