hey, i’m in my early 20s and recently started hrt (estradiol injections) again after putting it off for years.
i’m not trying to pass as a cis girl or go stealth or anything — i just want to feel soft, cute, feminine. i love the idea of boobs, smoother skin, fat redistribution, all that stuff. i want to blossom.

but at the same time, the thought of completely losing erections and orgasm ability gives me horrible dysphoria. i already have a long history of fap addiction and codeine use, so things aren’t perfect down there to begin with.

i’m currently on what i now realize is a pretty high dose of e (1ml/40mg a week), and i’m scared that i’ll just wake up one day and my dick won’t work anymore — like, permanently. that terrifies me.

is there anyone who’s managed to keep function long-term? do i have to reduce my dose? is dht cream worth it?

dick function on hrt is very much a "use it or lose it" ordeal. if you regularly jack off you should be fine. applying t to your dick should also help iirc that's what trans pornstars do and it works well enough for them. no way to avoid at least some loss in function some though especially with regards to load size if you care about that sort of thing. you can defo still orgasm but it will just be "different".

yeah you're both right desu. i admit it's a high dose, i'm still figuring stuff out. not under any endo, just DIY.
i do want the feminizing effects (soft skin, breast growth, emotional clarity etc), but not at the cost of losing dick function entirely. that would cause worse dysphoria for me than not passing. so i'm trying to find that balance.

also is it true that lower estrogen doses can actually lead to better breast growth over time because the body has more time to adjust?
i've heard high doses can just shut things down too quickly and not even give ideal fat redistribution or shape.

What does the vial say? 400mg/10ml or 500mg/10ml is what most standard vials are, you're injection a ton if its really 1ml (40mg when it should be roughly 5mg)
