As a person, if you had PTSD (because of warfighter service, etc.) could you expect society at a large be tolerant with you utterly and permanently, waving your PTSD diagnosis around as a get out of jail free card?
(This wasn't intended as hurtful to people with PTSD or C-PTSD, and didn't mean to belittle their feelings, or the very real trauma that led to their diagnosis. Mental health is serious. But people with mental health issues survive and cope - because that's what they must do - and don't wave their diagnoses around.)
