What is girlmoding, really? The usual definition is that girlmoding is going through effort to appear as female. This usually includes dressing up in female clothing and/or make up.
Here comes the issue though. Women look like women without makeup and in male clothes. Doesn't matter. Bald, with a fake beard, in their boyfriend's t-shirt, and so on.
>Fiction: You can look female if you're not a passoid
>Fact: You still look male in your girlmode if you you're a twinkhon or worse
This is why I also believe that passoids cannot boy- or manmode. At best (or worst, depending on how you see it) they look like normal women dressing quite plainly.
I'm not trying to redefine terminology here, but we have to examine what really counts as 'girlmode'. It is my personal belief that non-passing girlmoders are still technically boymoding.
‘Girl moding’ is using she her pronouns and a womans name and introducing yourself as a woman
99% of trannies dont pass so it is really just hon moding though
>>40073827 (OP)honestly i think you're overthinking it. not passing in a situation a cis woman would doesn't mean that tranny doesn't pass, as long as they aren't seen like that. otherwise passing is almost impossible lol
>>40073836So, is it the attempt that defines girlmoding or the result?
(I should've worded it this way from the start)
>>40073848>CopeJust look at youngshit passoids
save up for FFS or hope that reincarnation as a cis woman is real, because it's over
>>40073850it's the attempt. hons girlmode all the time they just dont pass
>>40073855im a young/midshit (idk anymore started at 16) and i pass. i doubt id pass without makeup but i barely use any
>>40073864Why does passing with makeup even count as passing? That's just being a drag queen at that point.
Hope you take no offense; I'm a lateshit, so I'm in no position to put you down.
>>40073877>why does passing with makeup even count as passingbecause when i am wearing makeup i pass? this is like saying walking with a cane isn't really walking.
>that's just being a drag queen at that pointi barely wear any lmao and specifically go for an invisible no makeup look. i also don't dress like a drag queen i just wear jeans and a tshirt most of the time lol

>>40073848Passing generally means passing for female
Putting make up on and getting called ‘she’ doesnt mean u pass
>>40073877>count as passingidk i wouldnt call myself a passoid but day-to-day outside with makeup on people think im cis. its a weird middle state and ngl its pretty brutal. feel like Cinderella.
>>40073942i agree. it's technically impossible to know if you do pass, but most people here tell me im crazy for worrying about it when i only get misgendered once every couple years.
>>40073960You're not. It's so strange that society has went the direction of faking being nice for no benefit to any party involved.
>>40073982yeah i mean idk it's just hard to know. of course everyone who knows me personally is gonna tell me i pass, people irl act like they can't tell but idk. i have friends who do get misgendered and like called a tranny and stuff and that doesn't happen to me but i guess it really is impossible to know. on some level i know i might be coping, but from where i sit i can't tell.
>>40074005This is an intellectual conversation concerning etymology and sociology.
>>40073942She's cute but why does she do some weird faces sometimes, that's what drives people away, she looks great when she's not acting weird.
>>40074055Gay male facial expressions
>>40073856I'd say only hons make the distinction between girl/boy "mode"
>>40075707A real post-transition passoid can throw on a hoodie and jeans, be too lazy to do her makeup and still be a girl. If someone like her wanted to boymode it would require more effort to mask feminine features similar to an ftm transitioner's boymode. More likely she wouldn't even think about the distinction the way nonpassers forced to choose between looking like a weird boy/man or a hon that doesnt pass even with makeup.
>>40075781So, we're more or less on the same lane.
Then, how real is the distinction? Or should we just give up on it and simply say that you either are/look like a woman or not?
>>40076857mid-transition it has meaning for people adapting to changing presentation but the ultimate goal should be to just >be yourself
