'Language operates' is vague. There are multiple definitions of words is how language specifically operates. You do not always need to share a definition with someone else to use a word correctly. You do need to share definitions to communicate. If you think otherwise say why.

I am aware others are likely imagining cis females when they say lesbian, as are you.

Words are just vehicles for ideas. Realizing this will not immediately change your intuitions. But it will let you address your intuitions, by reclaiming the word until you are desensitized, or, directly addressing the reasons your intuitions exist.

For example someone who wants to be a woman but not a lesbian cannot reconcile that so long as they are reliant on labels without an understanding of what those labels should transport.

That person would have to redifine what is a woman and what is a lesbian which requires them to know what you want and why you have the intuitions you do. Or use different words.

There is no single word for what you're describing as your sexuality btw. Still it's up to you.
