I do it every so often. Not ashamed of the "being trans" part, I don't give a fuck about that. It's more that I can't be assed to remove body hair these days, so the swimming needs to be coordinated around getting waxed for some other event.
I should get a wet suit so I don't have to worry about that kind of shit. Also would make it warmer so I can swim for longer.

Use women's change room, do actual changing in a toilet stall (some pools even have "family" changing stalls with privacy), wear women's swim trunks (less baggy and smaller than men's) to cover any tucking, shower without undressing.
Only downside is it takes much longer, due to doing everything dressed and waiting for a stall. But you can also minimize your time in the public areas. Just go straight for the stall, change, dump your shit in a locker, dart to shower, keep your head down and zero eye contact with anyone.

the pools around here dont really like swim trunks though.. they ban the boys from wearing those like, loose swim shorts that surfers use, what do "womens swim trunks" even look like?
i dont think the tucking gaff is that visible under even a regular swimsuit though? so maybe i wont need them?
what should i do about my hair... its so long and it takes so long to dry.. i know i have to put it in like, a tight ponytail with multiple hair bands or the pool will get mad at me :(
i know swim caps exist but i have a lot of very long hair so i would struggle so hard fitting everything in there, its already bad enough trying to fit it in a shower cap and those are pretty loose..

Oh geez, what kind of pool is so fucking anal about clothing beyond, "don't wear your street clothes in?" Starting to understand why you feel issues. Maybe start by doing it on a trip to another area, since the odds are they will be much more chill than wherever you are specifically.
The hair being gross is something I just kinda dealt with. The pool I liked was a 2.5 hour bus ride away (a single bus, just phenomenally shitty road) and it was miserable waiting to get home and wash up properly.

well its europe so we have pretty high hygiene standards i think.. boys can wear like, speedos and the tight short type trunks, and girls can wear one piece swimsuits and bikinis

my hair reaches down to my butt and it takes a long time to dry even with a blow dryer.. maybe i should cut my hair shorter but i like tying it in braids and have it flow freely!

I go to the beach 2x a month, and try to use the communiuty pool once a week. Just wear a one-piece swim suit, at toss on a set of board shorts and a rash guard top. Everyone will know you are trans must most people don't care.
