That happened to me with anime after my teen years. I miss being a full-blown weeb but I just can't get interested in much anymore. I still watch some shows sometimes, Excel Saga was the last one a few months back, but I don't follow seasonal shows anymore.

For some reason, I never had that with video games. I've played them since I was a child and simply never got bored of them.

looks like you either didnt let the dough rise enough on the cinnamon rolls, or didnt use enough yeast, or killed off the yeast by accident during prep (too hot or too cold)
also a coat of egg wash painted on top of em before you bake them gives this really nice golden finish!

Doing a phd in chem so I got access to most journals, I just order chemicals or see how far I can get with otc materials, made some chloroacetly chloride from basic materials last week. Also did some synthesis of pharmaceutical products like anticancer drugs in my shed. Also making toxic pigments is fun.

Learning about history and religion, but I don't know if it counts as a hobby when I mostly just absorb information, I'm not going into academia so I can't "do" much with the knowledge.
Still I love reading the hebrew bible as literature rather than dogma. The robert alter translation and JPS study bible are fantastic, I want to start learning hebrew once I finish with the commentary.
