I don't think people have grappled yet with the reality of just how authoritarian and insane society would have to get in order for trans people to not "get away with it" (ie, get medical treatment). We really don't need mainstream society's approval; it's all on the market, your bans mean nothing.

Who’s to say that this couldn’t happen? In fact I fully expect the authoritarianism to ramp up. Trans people are second only to illegal immigrants as scapegoats in the united states
