male homosexuality is almost universally deplored while people either don't care about or outright adore female-female homosexuality (notice how many countries that ban homosexuality either pay less attention to lesbians and bisexual women, or literally just don't care about them at all)

I know. I just wonder why they treat it as homosexual media, rather than admiting the writer made it that way so cishet men can get fetishise it.
Avatar is the prime example of this, loved by bisexual girls because of Korra, but even as the franchise expanded and even made prominent characters like Kyoshi bisexual, non-straight men in the series are pretty much non-existent.
