I feel like there are a few different buckets of voices that people aim for:
____________________________________
Firstly, there's like, the high fem bucket where we have feminine body implying features and slightly feminine personality implying features, which is where I would put people like

- Hunter Schafer
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NmlKeMyXpCU

- Zheanna from TransVoiceLessons
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FaxxW9UpvaA

- The girl from Vocal Team
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EaRUZDomXS8
_________________________________

And then I'm putting a special category which is basically an offshoot of high fem, but just really turning up the feminine personality implying features and shooting for sort of a bimbo-type voice aesthetic, nothing wrong with that

- Borkasaur
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UWVXUyljGHs
__________________________________

And then there are more gravelly or neutral fem voices, like

- Icky
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uF9F4GndX_c

- Cecilily (I actually highly recommend watching this video it's really well done)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kX7iNshtYAM
__________________________________

And then there's like, fem but identifiably trans voices because of their low resonance I think? Like the personality identifying features lean heavily fem, but the body implying features remain somewhat masc, leading to a more stereotypical gay or trans voice

- Arden Hart

- Astrid Ztar

What do we think? Do ya'll have a preferred aesthetic, and what style are you going for or would you classify yourself?

the last two aren't "identifiably trans", they just sound like male voices with no training

the middle 3 are very clocky and identifiably trans

The first 3 ones are the only passing ones

I didn't aim for it but I sound a lot like icky. Multiple people have told me unprompted that I have a pleasant voice that calms them down so I guess I'm doing fine. Getting VFS was the best decision I've ever made right after getting DIY HRT. Didn't radically change how I sound when speaking cause I'd already trained my voice, but made things a lot easier and changed how I sound when yelling and stuff like that. I'm so happy with the results that I wanna give head to my surgeon in gratitude

hunter schafer has a much more passing voice than transvoicelessons or vocal team. borkasaur and cecilily are clocky, icky and astrid don't pass. arden is the only one with a deeper voice that passes. personally I try to sound like a cis woman, not like any of these

bossy, kinda mean. My base voice is super lightweight and I always hated when people could not hear me in noisy environment.

adult human female voices are basically pre-pubescent boy voice + feminine style anyway, so if you have 14 year old boy down maybe just try flaming it up a lil
