>>40110439i would just space out my electro two weeks after my laser session and ask her to go only for the light colored hairs. even then she would try them with tweezers first and many would slide out instantly, so it seemed like the laser was still semi-effective there. the ones that were firmly in the root she would then zap.
i think each laser session was spaced out six weeks so i would do one or two electro sessions in between. just avoid sun generally and always wear sunblock outside, wear a mask outside after sessions if you want to be really careful.
for laser they would tell me to shave the night before or preferably morning the day of the session. for electro you usually want the hair to be frown out 5-10 days so the electrologist can see and tweeze the hair.
btw, the type of electrolysis done can make a difference, as can the skills of the electrologist. there's thermolysis, which i think generates heat to kill the follicle, then galvanic, which uses the current to cause lysis in the cell and acidify the follicle (I don't remember the details, and there is also a hybrid form of the thermolysis and galvanic). the point is that when i first started i had a cis lady electrologist who used thermolysis and in retrospect she sucked at her job. routinely would zap me three or four times when the hair wouldn't release at the end and would leave my face fucked up with blemishes that could last months and swelling that lasted up to a week. if that is happening to you find someone else!
