For me, I'm drinking some Sultan brand Turkish Style Dark Roast, a Christmas gift from my grandmother (alive). I like to drink it on nights where I feel uncomfortable, as it comforts me and reminds me of my grandparents (both alive).

you should give good sake a chance. look for something with the word "junmai" on the label. little known fact: sake spoils quickly so buying sake at a store without a lot of dedicated sake customers means you're getting substandard sake

japanese whisky is severely overhyped but that doesn't make it not good. if you've had a speyside single malt and you liked it, you'll generally like japanese whisky too
