survivorship bias. the average tranny in most of the world is either fairly inconspicuous or manmodes. the fact that the median of these two groups is a visibly trans freak that dresses weird and stands out doesn't mean most trannies actually dress like that.
femboys on the other hand are by definition just an aesthetic of weird fags on the internet. you can be trans regardless of what you look like, but you can't be a femboy just by identifying as such, acting the part is what makes you one. as 99% of them are cis men not on hrt, most of them will look like literal men in dresses.

again, most of the world is not seattle. most non passing trans women manmode either for safety reasons or out of self awareness. most trans people who pass and present as their gender do look ugly or weird, but not in a way that immediately screams "trans" to the average cis person. i would know because i work in customer service, and statistically i talk to several trans people every week.
