I was a child of divorce, I came home every afternoon to the television and a box of biscuits.

Back in the 90s at least I was getting positive images of masculinity fed to me by the television which very much focused on providing good male role models. Ironically that's how I was able to repress for so long, I just had so many positive ways to be straight, white and male.

And yet still, holy shit did the misogyny take root in me. Those seeds from my mum's issues with men and school teachers taking out their trauma on me, OMG did that affect me as an adult. I fucking HATED women.
