this worked against me in school, but i eventually learned to become much more closed off and intentional when speaking and acting to prevent those sorts of traits from being apparent. for years, the closest thing i've gotten to that is just really nosy questions about me not having a girlfriend

i’ve never seen trans women have issues with men being straight. lots of them really want straight men, because if they’re with a bi man, there’s constantly the question of “does he just see me as a guy? he likes guys, so it’s not out of the question” in the back of their minds, which sucks. what i have seen is them taking issue with chasers being weird towards them. for one, if a chaser is really after a trans woman’s dick, but she has genital dysphoria, that pretty obviously sucks. you’re specifically listing after a part of herself she hates and wants to get rid of. it’s the same with chasers who talk about how much they like a clocky girl, it makes them feel like you don’t like them because they’re women, you like them because they’re /trans/ women, a fact they would do anything to change. of course, there’s some trans women who don’t mind or even like this treatment, but lots of them fucking hate it, and i can’t blame them
