It doesn't really matter what public trans institutions push back on or how. It matters that they show they can and are willing to do so, such that it gives the public confidence they actually have ethics beyond "maximize my group's wants at any cost".
An obvious example would be being unitedly publicly critical of violent criminals doing no- or low-effort transitions to enter womens' prison and then rape prisoners.
Another is trans women in womens' sport, which is proving to be an 80/20 issue.
But any stand they might take that convinces people they aren't my-side hacks would work. They don't. Instead they insulate and protect and demonize anyone critical from within.
