A gun hobby is admittedly malebrained, but the hobby alone is acceptably so in the sense of many transes obviously underwent some male socialization so retaining a hobby is understandable. I think the way men see virtue in gun ownership is valid and magical in the same sense that there are a lot of things that women pick up on that are important that men don’t understand. Women are more into occult stuff and that has more power than people realize, ftms are typically more fashionable than cis men even when they’re super masc, and guns are important in some ways that most afabs overlook (and arguably guns are more magical than peeps realize, they’re like magic wands, but society isn’t ready for that discussion). That is a benefit of being trans.
