This is how people exist, it's a mode of being like autopilot or being in the zone in a sport. Most people have landmines they're just waiting to blow up about or suddenly turn cold or whatever bullshit.
Also I would even say trans people are especially emotional as a group, we know they're already dealing with sometimes debilitating mental illness.
