Being a twnkhon in white ppl culture is emotionally rough but manageable. I can dress nice have female friends and most people pity pronoun me correctly. I don't feel like contributing to society now that majority around mw is Sikh/muslim. I think of all cultures/religions they define themselves by their sex the most and interacting with thrm as a twinkhon is painful. I think religion just makes the worst out of people I've known plenty of brown people growing up in Canada and had always thought quite highly of their race group until I met the religious ones.

Yes I'm visibly trans. But where a conservative white go just calls me sir and processes my McDonald's order the Muslim guy is like "why you wear earings" "why you dress like this" or they ask you how much. I don't dress like a hooker I dress like a librarian barely any skin showing so the first time this happened I tried to figure out what the guy meant. The women treat you like a man ans try to get everyone around her to treat you that way too. I lost a friend because she was convinced that I was iinsulting women by her Muslim friend and said we can't be friends unless I detransitioned and apparently also thought our friendship was more important to her than my transitionxD she made a big insta rant about it and us not being friends and more. It sucks we were really good friends in uni we'd go to concerts together just the two of us sometime. I really do think this has anything to do with race. Religion In general is a poison I know some people are like good with religion but they could just follow tenets of wellness and kindness without the whole magical man/men in the sky and they'd live their life the same way so idk if I really agree with that argument defending religion

No I hate Christianity and a lot more personally desu but Christians aren't so brutal. They give you a quick sir feel like they got their little win and proceed to treat you relatively normally they just act like they are better than you. They are assholes yeh but I still feel safe. The Muslim dudes who question me with anger in their voice a stern look on their face and eyeing me down like I'm the embodiment of sin is a lot more terrifying. Only Christians who have ever treated me like that are over 80 year old woman suffering from being over 80 years old.(I worked in a nursing home for a bit old people are either the coolest people or psycho toddlers there is no inbetween)

i'm really sorry you have to deal with people acting like that. i think that religion makes a lot of people incurious and ignorant but i do think its important to remember that isn't always the case.

What I mean to say is regular interactions with strangers who are Christian isn't as brutal. I've never had a Muslim person close to me before so I can't compare them. My parents were heavily Christian. Beat me for wearing dresses told me I was going to hell. That hangs over me still today this threat that I'm doomed to suffer eternally. I know Christians can be bad people very bad people. Like I said I think religion brings out the worst in people. But I also know places like Alberta exist where the majority of the population is Christian and they enforce there religious beliefs In the exact same way Muslim people do. Verbal assault until eventual actual assault. I guess I'm just more used to a more laid back Christian. Anyway sorry for upsetting you.

no, it's always the case, faith is literally rejecting the material world for belief in unfalsifiable things that you are told, or that you imagine, or that you simply want

it doesn't matter if their delusions are good or bad, it means they're ignoring and rejecting reality and easily manipulated in ways that inevitably give rise to people exploiting that flaw for very bad things

well I wasn't saying that every religion or religious person is bad or twisted into being or doing bad things, and very subjectively and personally I do think that believing in unfalsifiable things is itself bad because it detracts from investment in the material world and each other as living experiencing things - but yes it is very much inevitable that faith and rejecting evidence, critical thought, and the ability to question dogma DO lead to abuse as a matter of logically inferred outcomes and observed historical outcomes

it's also explicitly what's driving the rollback of human rights, especially recently trannies and even more recently gays (again!), across the globe: faith, in many forms
