I'll give brutally honest answer. Because there's no potential for having kids naturally, and because of the social consequences (lack of family acceptance, etc.). Even if you feel some attraction to them those are issues. Also, most transwomen don't pass, at least not fully. It seems that (at least here) the trans people don't see themselves as the gender they "should be", but as some sort of idealized sex object of that gender.
