Americans have been a disaster for the transsexual community. Originally, gender and sex were supposed to be different things, but because Americans are prudes and are afraid of saying the word sex, they're ecstatic when the word gender came to be and started using it in place of sex everywhere they could. People tried to explain that it's not a substitute for sex, but mutts were like "I feel iiiicky saying sex, you do you, but I'll keep using gender instead of it, teehee". It's the original major fuckup. It all went downhill from there.

Masculine women, androgynous, and feminine men outright don’t belong there and that signifies a massive fundamental misunderstanding by the artist. Drag and crossdressing also don’t belong there, thee former being an art form making commentary upon gender roles without explicit statement of identity, and the latter being defined as dressing opposite to one’s sex. Whether various stripes of nonbinary belong under the term transgender is a contested matter, I at least don’t think that they’re necessarily cis gender.
Basically, whoever made this is dumb and wrong.

It really is funny when you think about how non-trans people took over the trans label and made trans people the minority within it. A minority that they then shamelessly persecute, call slurs, undermine and either try to ban their care or callously don't care when their care gets banned.
