I'm a stealth 30 y.o tranny, and I keep seeing and hearing hons and cis people say "oh my god, trans people are in such a bad position, many of them will have to go stealth!! can you imagine?" and it pisses me off.
Yeah, I'd prefer to be lonely and to hide parts of my life, but be treated as a human being, rather than be openly trans, maybe have more close friends, and be treated like a psycho garbage person.

my opinion is more valid than yours because i was actually there. the first time i ever even heard the word "tranny" being uttered as a slur was from a trans woman's mouth in a youtube video in my 20's. nobody ever even mentioned trans people. i didn't even know what a tranny was until i was 16. nobody knew about or cared about trans people. and once they did learn about what trans people were, the typical response was "oh okay, alright". i never once heard any of my friends or friends of friends or anyone online acting transphobic until shit like IT IS MA'AM and shit cropped up, and i hung out with other shithead teenage boys who would talk shit about pretty much every group of people on the planet.
