they're kinda shit in most of europe ime, full of teens and rarely any fun and there's always some annoying politics bullshit. in one half of the continent you can't go there without having to listen to some overweight foid make a speech about intersectionality or whatever and then the other half of the continent is homophobic. yeah blah blah pride is a protest but most of all i'm there to get wasted and dance and meet other cool trannies, feels like there's nowhere to do that these days. i'm curious what pride in a big american city like NYC would be like though.

the parades are incredible, really, in europe its less people being degenerate and more just having fun, lightly tipsy, spectating the parade and stuff

I went once and it was mostly theyfabs giving me dirty looks, but a gay and a lesbian couple stopped and chatted with me and I got a free mom hug so that was cool. I was super nervous and didn't start any conversations though so I want to go again and try to be more sociable now that I'm used to girlmoding.
I know they're filled with a lot of normies and they'd all run me the fuck out of there if they knew any of the weird shit I'm into or believe about the world, but at least it helps me feel slightly less isolated for an afternoon.
