why italy? i visited before and it was fun on holidays but i think actually living there would be kinda chaotic, considering i meet people from italy living here it can't be that good for young people. great food though, i want to go back just for that and to see the lakes in the north again.
>>40243517
honestly it's not even transphobia it's just like... people are weird and gross here sometimes. so many 90 IQ moids and gypsies and junkies and other annoying NPC classes. the other day i saw two women boarding a city bus barefoot.

georgia isn't in visegrad lol i had an amazing khachapuri from the local georgian bakery lately though.

Eh, western Poland isn't too bad. Livable conditions, healthcare is fine, society is a bit more progressive and reasonable than the rest of this region. We didn't get as much visibility and activist like in the west so there's no 24/7 hate screeching in media about us like in US or UK.
But it's still Poland. And of course prices are western while wages are eastern.

>>40243656
kinda cope, you're more correct about big cities then west/east divide and healthcare is shit if you don't have money to pay for everything privately and west trannies are more visible but also have more rights so it's just a thing every minority group has to go thru no matter the time or place and politicians here are starting to talk about trannies and gays instead of only the gays

there are western countries where trans issues don't really come up in media either though, what you describe is mostly an anglo-saxon thing.
>And of course prices are western while wages are eastern
this is the main reason i want to leave ČR lol i'm fucking tired of how unaffordable everything is and my company refuses to give me a pay rise. i live with roommates and still spend 40% of my net salary on rent (and i work in IT).
>>40243693
>is there anything good about it?
there's some nice scenery around and public transport is good. easy enough to escape the city when you need to. also decent cultural scene even if the city council is closing anywhere somewhat alternative and turning it into luxury flats for digital nomad cunts.

better then my town but it's a small shithole so it's a given best we have here is super family friendly concert of one (1) unknown artist covering old song 40yo liked and a lake that will give you every std possible if you will get anywhere close to it but we at least don't have those 60's decrepit buildings like other cites
>>40243732
read about legal stuff of that country because a lot of the things can be not validated by the government like if you're married or staff with sex markers plus beware of casual or legal queerphobia plus a lot of cities here are depression fuel things because of how much nobody cares about grey buildings that were rotting for 60 years

>you're more correct about big cities then west/east divide
Maybe, my perspective is a bit biased from living in Poznań which might be the best city to live in as someone LGBT in Poland
>to pay for everything privately
But it's still pretty cheap. Like I pay for my endo 300zl once per half a year, and around 80zl for blood test when I visit him. Hrt is mostly refunded by NFZ, so for a month worth of medicine I pay 35zl. Universal healthcare is pretty much put of question for trans care tho. But getting it privately is easy and it's not expensive.
>and politicians here are starting to talk about trannies and gays instead of only the gays
Because of presidential election. It was the same with every election period and then they mostly don't care about us. As long as they don't talk about us in the media more than once a month then it should be fine. But then, everything might get worse if PiS gets majority again and Konfederacja along with Braun get even more support and everything indicates that it's happening. So for now it's just wishful thinking that they'll mostly forget about us and focus on different things. I guess we'll see in 2 years

this anon is right. don't underestimate the casual queerphobia, like even if you pass physically being slightly androgynous in presentation or giving off a "vibe" that isn't cishet can attract unwanted attention. if you're anywhere in the west that isn't like the southern US society is way way way more rigid and heteronormative than you're used to, also a lot of especially older people here are just sort of mean-spirited and bitter. cities in this region tend to be either very pretty and well-maintained but PACKED with tourists (prague, krakow, etc) or absolutely drab and depressing and left to the mercy of drug addicts and gypsies (literally every other city in the czech republic lol can't speak for poland). idk, if your citizenship allows you to live anywhere in the EU i'm not sure why you'd choose here unless you have a good job opportunity here or something.
>>40243834
personally i have female documents from my home country and the administration here didn't question them so i just got registered as cis female, so this works yeah.

it may be cheap if you compare it to the west prices 1:1 without considering how much money people make here and there but having to spend a month worth of income in total to get hrt isn't heap
as for politicians they were starting to do things with previous government so them not ranting about trannies 24/7 isn't much of a improvement over having stable laws that allow you to transition and live normally
>>40243834
may be respected may be not idk that's why you should read about it and maybe ask for legal advise if it's not easy to understand
>>40243854
>older people here are just sort of mean-spirited and bitter
tfw my whole family blames trannies and gays for everything whenever the topic appears or somebody reminds themselves about it :(
also polish citizenship may still be easy to get idk not something I'm interested in

Minimal wage here is 3500zl
Let's say your rent is 2000 (I pay half of that because I live with flatmates, but let's say you want a 1 person flat then 2000 is reasonable). Then cost of food - if you cook for yourself and buy things on discounts which is the norm then it's about 300-500zl. But you can go crazy and spend 1000zl for that.
That leaves you with 500zl minimum which is more than enough for an endo visit, blood test and one month of hrt. Then for other months you only spend not more than 50zl for hrt. Which is cheap.

even among relatively young people i get the impression queerphobia is common. my roommate is in his 30s and has said transphobic stuff a few times (i'm stealth but it's still not nice to hear). he's also pretty racist lol everything is immigrants' fault. i got SA'd by a (local!) moid in our building and when i told him his reaction was to vent about how the country is going to shit over immigrants.

more then half of wage for a single room + kitchen rent is reasonable... good that people don't also have to pay for car, fuel, clothes or god forbid one night out with friends on top of that plus every endo with few exceptions want you to visit other doc for half a year or more first so it all ends up costing 3-4k
>>40243927
yeah rightoids just copies republicans and unluckily we had that migration crisis where countries like poland and hungary were sabotaging the union so everything has to be bad because of the others no matter what happen but I can't really talk about normal young person here as my friends are progressive enough to be western normies and other people I know don't talk about anything controversial or are drug/alcohol abusing meatheads who just want to fuck, drink and fight with people

Well, yes, costs of living are crazy. Like I said western prices with eastern wages. But it's not hrt that's the problem, this is the cheap part. It's literally everything else that's overpriced, shitty flat market, inflation, western prices. Obviously that's why people are migrating to the west, to have a decent living.
