i would have met your fate in 2021 but i met a bf and he moved me and everything i owned across the country to give me a chance at my dreams; it didnt really work out but i met a gf after that (thru same game) and then she moved me to her state to live with her family; and then i made a big dumb mistake and almost died chasing another girl for 2 years until i finally met my wife last year at the brink of suicide; we fell in love in a few days and she broke up with her fiancee for me; then proposed to me on our first date and moved me to her state 7mo later in the fall

I had to live in a car for 15 months like until a month ago. That wasn’t so bad like it sucked but it was liveable. If you don’t have a car I would try to have one before you get homeless if possible.

You wanna park near residential areas but not in residential areas. I like stuff like parks where theres generally a brokeass vibe and one side of the park facing like the back of a storefront or something. Don’t park in industrial areas or you’ll get meth goblined. Don’t park outside someone’s house. Commercial areas usually have parking restrictions after like 11pm. A waterfront with no parking restrictions is ideal.

For keeping clean you basically have to hold your pee all night or find a park with a public bathroom. For showers and stuff I recommend truck stops. Gym membership is expensive but also gets you showers. Also food is rough, I like making cold brew cup noodles bc cheap calories, for protein just buy like a half gallon of milk and drink it in one sitting. I’d recommend keeping all your meds in the glovebox and putting your bedding in the trunk when you aren’t using it so your car doesn’t look homeless.

Don't be retarded and immediately look for a homeless shelter while you put all your effort on finding a job, it should occupy your every thought and you should only rest and calm down when you have income, absolutely don't stay in the streets and don't spiral even more, probably at the homeless shelter they'll have employment programs so take advantage of it.

I was homeless for a while. Do what i did: get a job at a waffle house. Live in a air conditioned storage unit. Shower at truck stop. Sublingual e isnt expensive with good rx

You get to stay at the homeless shelter if you behave and do the requirements, they will not allow you to be idle during the day so they usually have you be out during the day and check in at night, you have to look for a job, it's the single most important thing you have to do.

If your not fishing then hear me out. Try as hard as you can to save as much money as you can and get a job asap! dose not matter what the job is if you don't have one just do it. Then save, get shit ready, as being homeless sucks. Was homeless for 2 years. Barely survived worst summer and winters of my life! find anyone who will help you.. there is no shame if your planing on getting your shit together.. because trust me, if your stupid like me you will be sucking dicks in the street for less then a fucking big mac! just to get by and thats no meaning drugs.. Shits no fucking joke.. do what you can to fix or improve what you got now if yu can and if all else fails god speed. as ever ones story is dif.. not every one makes it out.. This varies based on state and county, and isn't as good as landing a job and getting your own place, but if you could do that easily, you wouldn't be desperate enough to ask here.

Look up your local county department of social services or failing that, or possibly in addition to that, federal social security office. There are a number of emergency social welfare programs that are worth looking into.

Some key programs:

EBT: Formerly food stamps. They may give you a way to buy groceries and food. This is means tested, so if you own too much or make too much you don't qualify.

Medicaid.: Safety net health insurance. In some states, this may cover some HRT, but there are usually a lot of hoops to jump through.

If you have documented evidence that your mental illness is disabling, you may qualify for SSI. Rules for this vary wildy by state.

Finally, Section 8 is the federal program to try to get people with low or no income some sort of housing that isn't a homeless shelter. There are frequently absurd wait lists. My local one is up to about 14 years.
