Then why is the following not true?

Which is true. Fruit bats are a subcategory of bats. Bats can fly, its part of the nature of being a bat. If there ever was a bat that cannot fly, we would call them a flightless bat and more than likely invent a new category for them. Such as the distinction between legless lizards and snakes.

When people say "trans men are men" they are effectively saying "there is no difference between a trans man and a (cis) man". They are saying those two entities are one in the same. They are saying A=B.
