my friends group chat and hangout without me, i don't really care lol. when they want to invite me i usually go. my self-esteem isn't determined by popularity.
i used to work at a place where managers would spread toxic positivity, "when's your birthday?" just a bunch of fake bullshit to make you feel like they care while they treated everyone like slaves. i learned the hard way, mind your own business at work unless you want to become a target. nobody at work is your friend. sure you might meet one or two potential buddies, but in most fucking cases we are ALL pitted against each other like it's the hunger games. the only thing you should be concerned with is being cordial while making your boss' job easier, if you want to get promoted

sort of agree? i'm not against making friends with coworkers if they're cool, there are a couple of chill people at my office who i hang out with outside of work occasionally because we actually have common interests and stuff. in saying that 80% of them are either older than me and married with kids or are normies i have no interest in. in fact the most insufferable people are the foids who have no life or friends outside of work and they're usually the ones who make group chats and shit to talk about people lol it's so sad. lately they had like a "bingo" thing with shit that people do at the office where they'd tick off the ones that happen on a certain day. they really just do that for 45 hours a week and then spend weekends at home watching tiktok or whatever.

on vacation last year with my family, one of my sisters started talking about "the sibling group chat" out loud, then apologized when she realized i was there and just said sorry. (then for the rest of the time they just openly used the group chat infront of me, never invited me, even when i was asking politely)
i never really confronted them more than that and now i'm in the process of moving to another country for other reasons, so i don't even try to talk to them anymore. they made it clear they don't want me in their lives
