there are still plenty of junior IT support roles out there but the way things have gone you definitely need to be constantly upskilling even after you get your foot in the door. i'm less than a year in my first IT job (no tech degree, honestly some of the most successful people i know in IT never went to college and this is in europe), studying for CCNA cert rn and then i'll do other ones. companies are obsessed with AI and automation but somebody has to maintain the infrastructure and be capable of troubleshooting issues. it's not my favourite thing in the world but i'm sustaining myself with it for now.

Second, yes because I've done it. I started working my first warehouse job at $9.50/hr a little over a decade ago and now I make $22/hr with a forklift and hazmat certification, with an eye to move up into management. They arent starting people that low anymore but its not hard to find something in the $14-18/hr rangd starting pay. It's really not bad if your means and options are limited.

if you dont mind doing some chores and just shop around at stables until you find a spot and people that you'll like.
and the horses will be easy to like once you figure them out and 1 bonds with you.
its a very easy way and humble work to get some quick pocket money without being a degen and the horses and farm animals are usually dope and fun to hang out with.

cause they all stick together and work together cause they all need the same stuff. so they're well organized and community orientated.

yeah riding instructors and trainers make some money too. but its hit or miss, its a little bit harder.
and also transportation is another huge $ part of the horse world. people are always looking for drivers and trailers to bring their horses around.

farriers make really good money, and its a pretty easy thing to pick up on after some training.

also horse dentists, and floating horse teeth is a very easy way to make bank, but you'll need to be very observant with their mouths.
theres alot of hidden problems that people dont pick up on with horse mouths/teeth. so it takes a good eye and hand to float their teeth right so theyre good.

horseshoe farriers is a really crazy skillset like blacksmithing + hoof knowledge. they are in serious demand and make bank.
but its a very acquired skill that is rare especially these days.
