Some are intended for male audiences and some are for women. Some try to appeal to both. I dont think you can label the whole genre of game as just one

Depends how you play them
If you like the lolis and building your characters then it’s malebrained
If you’re in it for the cute aesthetic and relaxing gameplay then it’s fembrained

go play a jrpg from a couple decades ago instead. there are loads of good ones out there and, great thing is, you aren't burning away hundreds or thousands of dollars for a temporary collection of pixels locked behind a rigged paywall to win. it's basically just virtual pachinko, you could do quite literally anything else and get your dopamine fix

why you'd play a gacha game willingly outside that is beyond me. the character designs in some of them are cute but the games are terribad
