I have ffs in 9 months, but I've been seriously considering just canceling it. I know i need it regardless, but in order for me to even have a shot at passing I'd need clavicle reduction, bbl, potentially ba. I don't see myself ever being able to get those. I'm really lucky ill be able to cover ffs, but only just barely, and I'll be in debt after too.
I'm 23, been on hrt for 20 months, and 6'1. My body is androgynous at best, but even then, my height gives me away immediately. I just feel like I'd be better off saving the money towards something else being that I'll be stuck manmoding my whole life even if I did all of this.

Ok, let's say you cancel it, and then what? Stop HRT and detransition? Or still be 0/4 way there to looking how you want to, instead of 1/4 there with ffs (realistically more because face is incomparably more important than the shape of your ass).
Making any kind of progress is better than doing nothing.

Id never stop hrt. I mistakenly already changed my legal stuff back when I was a delusional redditor. I'd just keep using my name (which is androgynous and a spelling change makes it masc), and let people decide my gender for me whole boymoding. I can tell you what happens when you try and fail. you end up being unable to pass as your assigned gender at birth and it makes detransition much more difficult. I'm in so deep I can't detransition now so I'm just stuck being a pariah. I don't know what hurts worse, going back in the closet or the loneliness. the only person I have in my life is my partner.

It makes no sense to just take hrt and not go all the way and get as many surgeries as you want/can. Even if you don't pass afterwards then at least you'll be less masculine. Unless for some reason masculinity makes you less dysphoric than being feminine-but-not-100%.
Either way, that probably won't happen anyway and you'll pass with ffs. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you Anonette.
