i feel like ppl on here have kind of a clear-cut image of what nonbinary ppl are like that has to be completely distinct from binary tranners which usually ends up being "nontransitioning with they/them pronouns" or "male manipulator who wears dresses sometimes". its a little bit annoying. some of us may be those things but we come in many forms please remember that.....

all things relating to the mind including gender are "imaginary" in the sense that they all take place in one's mind. my experience of seeing colour and other stuff for example only happens in my mind so I guess it could be called "imaginary" even if the things that cause that experience (i.e. those cones and rods activating) are physical.

I feel like I should just detrans or be non binary because i keep trying to kms from the dysphoria of attempting to present as a woman is that awful I mean no offense sometimes it feels safer to just say im genderless or let people assume whatever and just be safe inside my shell

well i mean would you ideally like to be perceived as a woman? for me personally i just feel dysphoria from being male but not any strong attraction to the notion of being female so i try to present as neutral as possible; if you feel like you don't fit in the mold of a woman for a reason other than difficulty passing then it would make sense to identify as nb

Im not sure if I feel a strong notion to being female when I consider that accepting myself as beautiful makes me feel as euphoric as I think it would to be completely passing as female

many of us trannies nonbinarys etc have v different experiences with this whole gender stuff so theres no one approach that always works or is better than everything else. i also used to think being nonbinary was a copout back when i was early in transition and it took me a while to accept thinking of myself as such instead of just being in a confused "probably not man but also probably not woman" state, there really was no reason for me to object but things feel weird sometimes inexplicably. sometimes its just brain worms u need to push through
