Recent so not able to see the affects yet but I'm trying out pumpkin seed oil as a supplement for hair growth. My hair has stalled around 1/3 of the way down my back and I'd like for it to be longer, asked my stylist for advice and she recommended it since my hair care was pretty solid otherwise.

i think a balanced diet with or without milk and a multi vitamin, with focused exercise on key areas and sleep gets pretty good results.

well fed, well rested, low stress.

dont eat slops just eat real food.
its expensive but it will make your body slap if you take all that stuff like prog, dht blocker, t blocker, estradiol etc, you'll get results.

Laser targets the root nucleus of the hair cell, Biotin regenerates the hair cell nucleus.

Biotin undermines any laser hair removal process. Other supplements can also affect laser hair removal, Omega 3, Vitamin D etc should be stopped 2 weeks prior and after any laser hair removal session, for optimal results

Not terrible advice, Vitamin A inhibits estrogen absorption, which leads to free radicals which can cause cellular damage.

Do NOT supplement with Vitamin A if you want an effective transition. Vitamin A found in food doesn't affect estrogen receptors to the same extent.

The most effective way to avoid wrinkles is sunscreen and collagen supplentation, as UV rays destroy the skin and collagen production is what gives skin elastin

Honestly anon, it really depends on how many laser sessions, the strength of the laser, the contrast in colour between the hair follicle and skin tone.

Ultimately with laser the hair follicle can be severely damaged, but not completely killed. So let's say you have 5 yeats of laser, and no more for another 3 years, the hair will grow back, not exactly the same, but it will be noticeable.

Only electrolysis can permanently destroy the hair root, but it's hard (for my country) to find a technician who knows what they're doing

Definitely do not take Biotin if you're in the middle laser sessions, you can risk taking it if you finish your sessions, but always be conscious it is repairing the very thing you previously damaged.

i started taking pioglitazone (similar to omega-3, proven to facilitate wound healing) and the best results (1 year with almost no hair follicles appearing on face) were during taking it. i think it's more important to get the technician to use as much power as possible, i got more when i had edema and there was a lot of pain.

Can somebody help interpret this result in the foreground? Right side is a drug addicted sex addicted twink left side is his much more stable twink BF. Right burned first but took longer than I would have thought. Rope was clogged with wax by the time it lit and as it burned it pulled the rope closer around it before it broke. The flame took a long time to reach the left and longer to ignite. The right side had a blackened ring of rope around it for a while burning very brightly while the rope was still reaching the left. The left eventually burned intensely for a long time and is currently ending up a bit shorter than the right.

The other results make a lot of sense to me but this one I'm having a hard time interpreting.

Vitamin D and Omega 3 are great supplements, but just two weeks before and two weeks after a laser session avoid them.

However whilst they don't directly stimulate the hair follicle the way Biotin does, they can weaken the impact of laser, you don't want dark shadows, especially above your lip. The body reacts to laser as it would any injury, and wants to repair itself quickly, which we don't want, we want a damaged hair follicule

Yes, take it. I had an orchi and I take 1.25mg a day

progesterone can have a side effect of increasing DHT, so finasteride helps stop DHT binding to receptors.

It becomes a free radical at that point, hence the other supplements such as Alpha Lipoic Acid

>Your body naturally produces collagen when the proteins you eat are broken down into amino acids. However, collagen production starts to slow down around age 25-30. After age 40, it's estimated that you lose about 1% of collagen each year, and by age 80, your body has much less collagen than when you were younger

Please take collagen from age 25

yeah from what i've heard the basis for ingesting collagen supplements is kinda weak, i'm open to hearing evidence to the contrary though. hyaluronic acid is good for stimulating collagen production in your skin, i've used a HA serum religiously since i was 25 and i feel like it's helped a lot. that and avoiding the sun as much as possible or wearing protection when i need to go out in it, UV rays reduce your skin's ability to replace collagen. even just using a moisturiser with sun protection makes a huge difference, like cerave for example.

Collagen has to be used continuously for 6 months minimum. There are technically 6 types of collagen, lumped into 3 categories

Type 1, 2 and 3.

Type 1 and 3 are very commonly sold together and focus on connective tissue of joints. Type 2 focuses on repairing cartilage.

You need all 3 to see results, and joints will very likely take the bulk percentage of collagen, hence why it can be taken for 6 months with no visible results to the skin.

However I would still strongly recommend it be taken for life, you lose the ability to produce collagen year on year, start now and accept its a necessary part of your daily life like brushing your teeth. In 5 years you'll thank your past self

To further clarify.

Collagen type 1 and 3 are still worth taking for the joint improvements alone.

If your goal is only skin improvement and you want faster results, I wouldn't buy hydrolyzed collagen for that purpose.

Mesotherpay would be better, as would plasma microneedling and c02 laser.

However, for joint health I still recommend collagen, but to clarify I would NOT take collagen with the sole aim of improving skin, but for a holistic approach to the body which can improve skin slightly over time.

I don't have a recommended brand but I would advise going to a health store and buying it in person, rather than online. In the country I find myself in there's a chain called Holland and Barrett, so try and find
an equivalent for your country.

But remember it must be hydrolyzed. Also, dissolve the collagen in boiling water first, half a cup of hot water, dissolve the collagen by stirring with a spoon, and then cold water, it helps the body process it rather than excrete it. This is critical and a large part of why people complain collagen never works

So to further add, never buy collagen in pill form, its effectively useless.

Buy it in powder form with a scoop. 15 grams per day, and dissolve it in boiling water. Its better to take it with food as collagen is an amino acid, and food helps with nutrient absorption and releases a peptide called GLP-1, which helps you feel full when eating

You'll be less likely to over eat, and it will help with weight managememnt. Please remember it can take 6 months to even begin to see the slightest change, but that's because your body is distributing the collagen to areas sorely needed, such as joints.

The long time frame commitment, combined with not dissolving the powder, not taking specifically the hydrolyzed form, and taking collagen pills undissovled, have all contributed to this supplement being greatly misunderstood and negelcted

pioglitazone is not dangerous, in fact it prolongs lifespan and prevents many health issues. my blood pressure which used to increase over years now is perfectly fine, for example.
the bladder cancer risk is practically irrelevant when you control for the fact that it's associated with diabetes and pioglitazone tends to be prescribed as thirdline treatment for the worst cases.
osteoporosis is a risk, but it's not life threatening.
i don't develop the slightest palpable edema even on 45 mg so congestive health failure is not a concern for me.

I'm still in the process of getting HRT

What supplements can I take in the meantime to block testosterone and increase estrogen?

I'm thinking of trying pumpkin seed oil, and saw palmetto. Do those work? What else can I try?

Also, what should I avoid? Is it true that vitamin A is bad?

I think I also messed up by taking zinc, I just learned it increases testosterone ;_;

Anon I havent changed anything. Vitamin A, for mtfs, is not a good vitamin to take if you want a successful transition

Is vitamin a important? Yes. Does it inhibit estrogen synthesis in the body? Yes. Does this suck and put us in a difficult position? Yes.

You are your own person, you can make your own decisions and do your own research. My research tells me that vitamin a isn't great for mtfs

If you still wish to take it because you feel the positive benefits of vitamin a outweigh the negative then you are free to do so.

I personally will not take it
