That time is coming right now. They felt edgy and rebellious towards the end of the Obama era when liberalism was dominant in the political and media sphere. Then they still felt edgy and rebellious in Trump's first term, nobody had expected him to win and he was constantly under attack from the media and government. Now they've been at it for like 10 years, they're no longer rebellious, they've become the norm, they have free reign to do whatever they want and enact all of their ideas, and they're clearly fucking up and showing their asses for everyone to see
