this is not true for race. white people don't have a bunch of latent genetic pathways that will cause them to start looking like black people if you inject them with melanin. the correct, though of course not perfect, racial analogy to transgender people is mixed-race people choosing one part of their ancestry to identify with more than the others.
that said, there's no reason to stop people from pursuing procedures intended to make them look like a different race. people can do what they want with their bodies. there's just not an underlying medical anomaly like there is with gender dysphoria.

because the difference in appearance between white and black people is not monocausal, there's a whole bunch of accumulated adaptations that came from after their most recent common ancestor with white people that white people just don't have (and vice versa). you could darken a white person's skin and hair with added melanin but that wouldn't change their facial features. you can see this by looking at albinos. you can tell what race they are pretty easily even without skin color as a cue.

Because race/ethnicity is a result of thousands of years of phenotypical adaptation to the environment, while sex is a characteristic everybody somewhat shares and it's a characteristic created by millions (even i'd say tens/hundreds of millions) of years of evolution, so our genes about this one are fairly consistent among individuals

race is the younger psyop so people are more likely to understand its not a thing than gender or even sex. always confusing that people think these things are 'biologicaly' real. you can still take hormons to get a body alinged with your mind, or bleach your skin but your are taking hormons changing your social role etc.
and social roles based on race and the obsession with it are honestly such an usa thing anyways. I think it requires less assumption for vance not being part of a secret hindu clan. and i think the problem with extrapolating form stereotypes is that occasionally you get false positives and negatives.

in order to induce all those changes at once, you would have to do a whole bunch of different things correctly. you're adding a whole bunch of information to the system that wasn't there before.
you can change secondary sex characteristics by doing one thing: add enough estrogen/testosterone that it overwhelms the body's naturally produced testosterone/estrogen. this one thing impacts all the different sexually dimorphic parts of the human body.
