Hi, first time poster. I don't know if this question will find any meaningful answers here, but I'll try anyway. I'm looking, as a young male, to find tips on how to appear as child-like as possible? I am already about to start the process of gender transitioning, but I want to become more kiddified and youthful, without having to resort to costly procedures that likely won't have the desired affect. I'm already doing what is obvious, the movements, the dress, the behaviours, but I'm struggling to sink into it and fully internalize the child ideal, any ideas on how to speed this process up or naturally metamorphose myself into a younger, female version, not just in practice, but literally?

Thnx! (I hope my question makes sense btw, I know my speech is a lil awkward ;3)

Retarded autopedo, childhood is fleeting and you can never get it back, you can only seem grotesque as you emulate unuturally and make yourself more disgusting and pathetic to all those around. The characteristic if innocence is that they not know of their own innocence.

I'm so fuggin jealous. How is it ruining your life tho? If you don't mind me asking, I'm guessing you're at least an adult, so if you're still looking young and vibrant, hey, that's something loads of people actually chase, most of us, I'd say, want to look younger or more vibrant. ;3

I'm young adult, afab, tall-ish and still mistaken for a kid regularly despite my height. Impossible to poon out seriously with a face like mine and a body stunted by childhood anorexia. I have seriously considered disfiguring myself to stop being called cute and young looking. I don't give a shit about being fresh faced or vibrant, I'm not a pug bread to be cute and I wish I where a man. The only good thing is the 14 and under cinema discount (for wich no one has ever asked me proof, it's over lol.)

Surely it'll ease out in time? You're probably only in your 20s or 30s. Growing hair with testosterone might help and hardcore exercise apparently ages people a bit along with sun exposure (just don't get cancer!). Most people don't stay babyfaced at 40+

I personally find the neotenous look super attractive but I completely get an ftm not wanting to look that way, youth is always seen as a bit androgynous and servile while masculinity is treated as adult and responsible. Good luck <3 rooting for you

That makes a lot of sense, I'm not gonna be cringe and tell you you're so loved and you should never harm yourself, because if that's your experience then yeah, those thoughts are understandable. The comment that the other reply left was actually fairly comprehensive and covers a few points I would have made. It is likely you can grow out of it, and since, currently, it is still an issue, perhaps focus on more social aspects of yourself, like boosting confidence, and developing a more masculine character. I know that isn't the solution to everything, and it probably seems very generalized and useless, but the way you hold yourself can deeply affect external and internal interpretations. If you wanted to do this, it's a case of habitual study, and dedication to teaching yourself, as resources on how to do this are widely available on the internet. I adopt feminine characteristics and even if I still look like a frickin boy, I feel a hell of a lot more comfy wearing a dress in public, or asking where all the pink clothes are in the clothing store. ;3

If you recognize mental illness, then change is far more achievable than you think. There's no step-by-step guide, but you are aware that there's an issue and are already a lil ahead of everyone else in the mental health race. Stay strong. ;3

Is it actually mental illness though?
I don't know. I'm not scared about acting up. I feel like that's first priority for most therapists but I really just need something to deal with the isolation and low self esteem and indirect hatred from people. It hurts

In that case, no, it probably isn't mental illness, you are a by-product of the current climate. There is a vastly increasing number of those alienated from society, and what you feel is justified, I am in a very similar position to you, I don't have low self-esteem, but am highly isolated and feel totally dejected and separated from all forms of love, intimacy and support. It really hurts, but again, my point remains, you can identify what's happening, and you're likely facing a crossroads in your life, where either changes are made and a prosperous fulfilling life happens, or you fall deeper into this pit, and things only worsen, drastically. I can't offer much tailored advice since I'm unaware of you're exact situation, but I would highly recommend avoiding the internet, it feels like the only thing to fill the time, but it fuels your isolation, and any online relationships you from will leave you feeling dissatisfied and empty. At the end of the day, it is the requirement that you push yourself, into the outside world and make yourself a desirable person, that people want to be around. This is as simple as having a set of interests, knowledge, skills, etc, over time, you can grow confidence and familiarity in a culture or circle of people, and find your place. Not only that, you can find work, education or anything else you *may, have missed out on. I don't expect this to magically fix the issue, only offering the stuff I have learnt and what I know from experience works the majority of the time. ;3

I think being less online is good advice. It's just hard. I hate what I am and most other people do too. Or would if they knew. Also my area isn't exactly great for socialization

You're putting yourself down straight away. I get it. And I'm glad that you thought the less internet thing was half-good lol. People often judge quicky and don't have the capacity to see people for who they are, beyond their own self-absorption. With time, and application, there is no doubt in my mind you can be accepted, even those with often life-ruining mental disorders, and physical deformities (which I am assuming you don't have, sorry to be blunt about it tho), can find places of comfort and mutual respect. ;3
