Before him, I had... someone I thought I'd keep as a friend. He had other ideas. First, a night. Then he convinced himself we had a relationship. I tried to get rid of him, I tried, especially when/after I met the other guy 3 hrs of train ride away from home.

He (guy 1) convinced me to split up with the long-distance guy, and keep him in stead.

He held me for a decade. Gave up love, my friends, my wants, my plans... for him.
I didn't love him.
