The only reason I have ever doubted my gender is because I live in the modern day with internet access. If I had been shipped off to ww1 or been born in Syria I'd be a normal guy who died for a cause like all my ancestors

The only reason i transitioned is becouse the Internet gave me access to psychological resources which helped me outgrow my generational trauma. If i lived during Vietnam I'd probably use that pent up aggression from living with dysphoria and frag my officer after being drafted
