I dated a girl in high school who was very beautiful. We got very close but eventually wound up going to different colleges. We drifted apart and stopped talking. I eventually finished college and moved back home.
One day I heard someone mention my ex. She'd gone totally AWOL and no one knew where she was, and it stayed this way until last week. I'm 26 now.
I got a text out of the blue. It was her. She asked if we could hang out and grab something to eat, so I offered to pay and we met at a pretty decent steak place. I showed up, told the waiter I was there with someone and searched for her.
I searched the restaurant but was not able to find her. It's no large restaurant either. After a bit, I became impatient. Finally I texted her and she said "looking right at ya." Finally someone called my name and sitting at a small table for two was an absolute abomination. No tits, oddly portioned trans hormone facial stubble, horrible tattoos, obvious face wrinkles from a lifetime of "whoopsies". It looked nothing like her, but she'd done her best to look like a woman again.
Long story short, she'd gone to college and fallen for the trans meme and nearly eight years later decided that she wanted to "de-transition" but no one would date her. She'd gone home the week prior to us meeting and her dad waved her off in silence without even letting her in after eight years. What was sad, is that it was like her heart was rejuvenated to see someone she thought would love her again, but the only words I said to her was "no, sorry.", after she asked if I still wanted to marry her some day.
I was kind enough to finish the meal in silence, pay, and leave. That was her last meal. We live in a sad world.
