I'm an oooold af tranny. This happened back in 2006/7/8/9. I was on hormones for a considerable time back then tho. I was in college.

There was a hurricane that blew through and a ton of people were injured and there was a call for blood donations. I remember getting up early and literally picking the best outfit to wear that day to head out and donate blood for the first time of my life. I was really oblivious to MSM policies of the red cross back then. I went there. Filled up a form, I was asked to sit and I sat there for a couple of minutes. Then someone else walked up to me. Straight up asked me if have had sex with men and when I replied yes she said that they couldn't accept my blood. Me being a socially anxious bag of sentient meatstuff, said oh okay and without making a scene and just went back home.

Times were really different back then. We have a lot of opportunities now. Imo, the system is more accepting of us, society feels like the opposite tho but that's maybe because I'm literally old now but I digress.

Anyway, just remembered that moment and wanted to tell someone about it.

I agree. We got politicized like crazy. Corporations don't want to catch a discrimination case so are nice to us on paper but now were a political hot button issue with most peoples feeling on it being "trannies are fine as long as they don't bother me, and by bother me i mean interact with me or really go outside at all"

It depends on the country. In many places it never was banned in the first place

People who take anti-androgens generally shouldn't donate blood. If someone pregnant with a male baby receives the blood, it can cause pretty serious birth defects and potentially even kill the baby.

It used to in America, but it doesn't anymore.
